Sylvia F. Brewster earned her undergraduate degree in art history from Trinity College and her law degree from The University of Maine School of Law. She has been an attorney since 1988. Her legal practice has included civil litigation, family law, employment law, workers’ compensation and business immigration. She has also served on the faculty of the University of Colorado where she taught composition and rhetoric.

Sylvia is admitted to active practice in Maine and New Hampshire. She is also admitted (not actively) to practice in Massachusetts and Texas. Her office is located in the historic Reuban Shapley House of the Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Sylvia has a general practice that includes representing clients in the areas of family law, estate planning and elder law. She is interested in working with disabled or elderly persons and their families. She serves on the Advisory Board of ServiceLink, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping senior citizens in New Hampshire access services in their communities.
